Prior to joining SVLS, Bruce was the Chairman of Cross Country, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCRN), a leading provider of healthcare staffing and consulting services. Before that, he was the CEO of TravCorps, which merged with Cross Country in 1999. He has also held leadership positions with Fitcorp Healthcare Centers, SportsMedicine Systems and North Suburban Health Systems. He is a board member and fund raiser with Wide Horizons for Children (www.whfc.org, international adoption), the YMCA and numerous other non-profits. Bruce received his MS from Penn State University, and his BS from the University of New Hampshire.
According to Bruce, he is motivated to come to work everyday because of Lucida’s mission, Be Good – Do Good. His inspiration is his parents who raised five children of their own and also over the years cared for more than 20 foster children. Bruce has tried to emulate their “always enough to go around” philosophy in both his business and personal life.
Eric J. Egnet, Chief Information Officer, VP Healthcare IT and Clinical Informatics
Eric Egnet is a founder, CIO and VP of Healthcare IT and Clinical Informatics Group of Lucida. From May of 2004 to May of 2006, Eric was CEO and co-founder of a healthcare media and consulting company. He has worked with venture companies and consulted for numerous start-ups and early stage healthcare service providers. Eric recently served as the Interim CIO for an innovative provider of Pharmaceutical Management Services offering an integrated CPOE, EMR and Automated Robotic Pharmacy solution. From 1993 to 2004, Eric held increasing levels of responsibility with TravCorps Corporation and Cross Country Travcorps including Systems and Programming Manager, Director of Information Systems and Chief Technology Officer. In his last 5 years at Cross Country Healthcare, Eric served as CIO and Executive Senior Manager positioning the company as the industry's technology leader with the introduction of first of their kind nursing and hospital portals and a powerful vendor management solution. Eric began his career with Borden Corporation where he served in a number of advanced application development positions.
Eric was recruited into the healthcare staffing industry in 1993 and never looked back. The dynamics and evolution of the industry have kept it interesting for him. Eric is entrepreneurial by nature and wife would tell you that she has heard more than her share of creative ideas. His kids would describe him as a Dad that cares, who has given them a lot of good advice, and someone that they can still relate to as teenagers (kind of!).
Karla T. Mount, Chief Financial Officer, VP Operational Services
Karla Mount is a founder, CFO and VP Operational Services for Lucida Staffing Group. She brings over 20 years of business experience to Lucida, including extensive experience in the technology, staffing and healthcare services sectors. Previously, Karla served as CFO of TravCorps, where she played an instrumental role in growing the company. In addition to her finance responsibilities, Karla oversaw all of the key “shared service” functions including housing, insurance/risk management, information technology and human resources. Prior to joining TravCorps, Karla was VP of Finance with TheraTx, a publicly-traded healthcare services company, where her responsibilities included M&A activities and investor relations, as well as all finance and accounting functions. Karla also has held senior financial positions with a publicly-traded software company and an Internet startup. Karla began her career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co. She received her Bachelors of Business in Administration, Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University.
Karla is motivated to come to work by the thrill of starting and building a new business from scratch with people who share the same goals and enthusiasm - although not the same accent. According to Karla, being a native Texan transplanted to New England provides constant entertainment; especially when co-workers who regularly say things like “pahk the cah” and “that’s a good idear” tell her that she talks funny.
