Michael B. Kaufman, Managing Director, KBT Partners

KBT Partners is a Boston firm specializing in knowledge based transactions in HIT - M&A, strategic partnerships and post transaction integration.   Michael is formerly Executive Vice President of Eclipsys Corporation and CEO of SDK Healthcare Information Systems. He also holds board seats in numerous private HIT companies and serves on the National Council of Washington University in St. Louis, MO.


James Turnbull, SVP and CIO at Children's Hospital of Denver, CO (2001 - 2007)

Jim's former positions include SVP and CIO of Sarasota Memorial in Sarasota, FL and VP of Fleming Softlink Systems in Portland, OR.  He also served as SVP and CIO of Legacy Health System in Portland, OR and SVP of David Thompson Health Region in Red Deer Alberta, CN. Jim is a current member and former Board Member and Chairman of CHIME and HIMSS.


William Bria III, M.D., CMIO, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Tampa, FL

Dr. Bria is a pulmonary/critical care physician and adjunct clinical associate professor at the University of Michigan. He has been a leader in applied medical informatics for over 20 years, and has authored numerous articles and books on informatics. Dr. Bria is currently the president of the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems and serves on the editorial boards of Healthcare Informatics and Modern Healthcare. He is past president of the Medical Information Systems Physicians Association. He is currently engaged in research and applied medical informatics and is developing a new 5-year combined M.D./master's program for informatics at the University of Michigan.
